People new to pilates might need a little time to adopt the different muscle contraction and understand what pilates is about. It usually takes 3-4 classes for people to start moving their bodies in better way. Often they ask what are the benefits of pilates? The answer to this question is not easy. I could talk about it probably all day and better don’t get me started! I will focus only on 3 of the most popular benefits of pilates so here we are:

You will hear a lot about the stress release but how does that happen and what does it mean? Pilates used to call Contrology for a reason. You learn to control your body and control is one of the pilates principles. To control your body you have to focus on it and that way you stop worrying. You can’t do both! This focus connects you with your body and improves your mental focus in general. You release the stress from your body using your awareness.
